The owner expected to be told she needed a new roof. The photographs showed a split ridge cap and one perished vent boot, and about eight years left in the rest.

Three roofers had quoted for a new roof from the driveway. The owner called us for a fourth price and got a different answer.

What the flight showed

A ridge cap split along its nail line and one vent boot that had perished. The slopes had lost granules but had about eight years left in them.

What we did

Thirty-six feet of vented ridge cap and a new boot and collar on the stack. One day, one roofer, and a note in the file to fly it again in 2030.
